| Screaming Eagle question
Does the S/E heads (110") fit the 88" motor?

| Re: Screaming Eagle question No. The cylinder bore of a 110 is a lot larger than an 88. It will physically fit, but not work very well. If you have a head issue, I believe a pm to MadMax will work, as he is a head expert.

As Phil says, they will fit as the stud spacing is the same but you would have to have your crank cases bored to accept the bigger spigots. It's not a good idea. These heads on an 88 would make a turd - they don't perform very well even on a 110 motor. The squish band is mostly removed and they are about 93 cc's which on an 88 inch motor will give very poor compression. The valves and ports are too large for the throat dimensions and can only be changed by fitting larger valves, then you would have to do serious work to the valve reliefs which would drop the compression even lower. There are also valve and guide issues to correct. Too much hassle and expense. You could have a pair of stock heads ported and matched to your cams for about half of what it would cost to fix the 110's.
