Seat?

Hello

For when I get my next Harley, a Nightrain (2008+), early into next year.

Looking around at seats, two-up. Theres quite a choice. Noticed the sundowners as they seem to look better on the softail than they did on my streetbob (personal choice I know). However, wondered if there are any recommendations for seats that look good, while offering good back support. Not so fussed about the comfort angle over long distaces per se, as if the seat is uncomfortable I'll just get a gel pad inserted - which I'll probably just do anyway - unless I go for one of the gel seats.

I had a mustang on my 'bob which was fine for rides under 2 hours, but needed the gel pad inserted for proper rides.

Oher seats I have noticed are saddleman as well, but don't have any experience of those. So any recommendations?? (Or people with seats/backrests etc for sale or nightrains coming up for sale early next year ;))

Cheers, Roy

I'm surprised you find the Mustang to be good for only 2 hours Roy.
I've had one on 2 of my bikes and I can ride all day (almost literally) with no problems at all.
The rider backrest makes it even better although the look with it is a matter of taste.
My other (and first) choice is a Corbin but they really are costly.

Re: Seat?

Thanks all. Must admit when I bought most of the things I did for my streetbob I went on instinct - exhaust were V&H, seats were sundowner and then mustang etc. Looking around, there is so much choice.

Still like the mustangs though so will probably go for one of those, depending what is on whatever nightrain I end up buying

Cheers, Roy

Re: Seat?

Hi Roy, good choice going for a Nightrain I've got a leather badlander on mine which is hard and low but looks great imho and had no problems with numb ass even after long hauls of 300 plus miles a day,........... well maybe a wee bit but never admit that .

Style over comfort any day

Re: Seat?

;)

Out of interest, what is the passenger commentary like on a badlander?
