Hi, gonna put a Heritage wheel in the front of my train..need a low profile tyre..the tyre that seems right is a AVON AZARO..130.70.16..I don't know the width of a Heritage tyre..I know how to work out the wall size etc, but all I see is a figure that don't mean to much to me..any help appreciated

Re: tyre info

Are you having the wheel re-spoked?
The Heritage wheel is dished, but the Night train one isn't.
You either need to get the wheel re-spoked, or you will need new axel spacers, and will also have to space out the brake caliper.
What mudguard are you going to use?
If you use a Fat Boy or Heritage, then 130/90 Venom will fit. You will also need spacers on this.
If you are going to use a custom job, you may be able to use a 150.
Using these tyre sizes, you won't have to lower the rear.

Re: tyre info

Hi Spinlondon thanks for the info..the 130 bit was the info I was after. The set up so far is 18" x 200 back wheel, running a Mettzler 200,50 gotta stick with that wall size for road speed. lowered 2" front and rear. I don't like the 21" Measured the Heritage hub and the 21"hub identical width at 160mm,disc fits, axle etc. was expecting caliper/hub spacers etc. So I will get a Cobra on the rear, wrong wall size on a Venom, and a 70 wall tyre on the front, possibly the Azaro don't want a fat tyre. I worked out that the front end overall will drop between 3 and 4 inches..worry about the fender when the time comes. bit of a suck it an see thanks for the info

Re: tyre info

Got the Azaro fitted..Spinlondon was right an I knew there would be a spacer issue..had to move the wheel n caliper over 5mm. Had some spacers just had to size them. Never had the material for the caliper spacers so I will make em next week at work. So made do with some washers..had to go for a ride..just to get the sticky label off only did 20 mls tho So spinlondon thanks for your help..get a Cobra for the rear next and a fender for the front So I'm lookin.....

Definitely not as twitchy over shite roads Pat went out again today..til the rain started..don't mind gettin wet but can't scrub the tyre in, so a waste of time just gonna see how the mileage goes n how it compares with venoms and the 21" mettzler...Tyre works on Blackbirds, blades n'busa's soooo speed aint an issue
