Now this may not be everyones cuppa tea...but
You gotta admit....
It's a great song,the mans gotta great voice and considering this was 1974 performing live in a BBC studio for The Old Grey Whistletest with no audience..

Incredible song... never seen him on video before....and when you look closely at it, and look at the Drift Away clip.... someone's found him agan 30 years after OOTF was a hit....took some footage of him in front of a keyboard...and used 60s style ''trick'' (HA!) photography to fashion a retro clip.

I had always envisaged Dobie Gray in his prime as some kinda sharp suited mod-icon geezer like Major Lance or The Impressions. He is old there....

Post a clip of In With The In Crowd if you have one. that is his other killer. Drift Away is like.....well....Eric Carmen going global with All By Myself (yuk) and everyone forgetting the Raspberries...

Northern Soul is NOT just for Wigan Casino veterans....
