Sadly faked... It's a very clever viral ad campaign for Killathrill (I have no idea what they make). See here for more detail... PlaneTalk :: View topic - Supreme flying skill or here... Airplanes | Aviation | Pilots | Flying: KillaThrill Generates Huge Buzzkill With Viral Airplane Crash Video Trust me, if you lose a wing you die--aroplanes need a wing each side. You might have time to think 'Oh Fuck!!' but that's about all. In real life he'd have been a smoking hole in the grass. Realistically, why would an aeroplane which is designed to withstand huge G forces (and they are) just fall to bits? However, if you read the Planetalk thread, one of the postees makes reference to an incident where a bloke called Neil Williams had a wing failure in a Zlin. The wing started to fold upwards so he he rolled the aircraft on it's back, flew an inverted circuit and an approach and at the very last second rolled the right way up and touched down. Neil was to say the least an exceptional pilot and was British Aerobatics Champion, 12 times. You can read in detail here... Zlin wing Structural Failure Report - Neil Williams Sadly, Neil's luck ran out on 11th of December 1977, when the CASA 211 (Spanish built Heinkel 111), he was ferrying from Spain to the UK hit a hill side in bad weather in northern Spain.
