Sporty at VMCC S&T

Who's going to tell us what this Ironhead is then? Interesting, or run of the mill? Don't usually find Harleys at VMCC events, and never seen anything as recent as a Sporty.

I'll put the rest of the non-Harley pix in the Beer Tent, for those who are interested. Oh, and note hte first sunny day since (it seems) about May...

Yokes are what hold your fork legs apart; yolks are the yellow part of eggs. Really, they are.

It's an early XLCH (I think) 900. Belongs to a Club member (can't remember his name ) and is at the Vintage & Sportster every year.

It's a replica (I assume?) of the 'Then Came Bronson' cult TV show bike - see link

then came bronson - Google Search

Oh yes, and it's very cool as well

Re: Sporty at VMCC S&T

I knew somebody would recognise it, and thanks for the Bronson connection. I was wondering what the all-seeing eye was about...

Nick went from Scotland to collect a Jim Belland/Mert Lawwill XLRTT race replica frame in Nottingham and just done the "small" detour to show it to us!!! Dedication, dedication...

Yep, Nick's a regular at the Vintage & Sportster; apart from the "Bronson" he's got another one which is a replica of the Baja racers. Great guy, fanatical about his Sporties, highly knowledgable (on his own admission, to the point of being obsessive) and a loyal supporter of our Vintage weekends.

Here's a pic of the Baja racer, from the 2007 "50 Years of Sportsters" weekend.

I think he also owns a tasty Evel Knevel replica - discussing it with Gray here at V&S 2010?

What a coincidence mentioning Then Came Bronson.
I've just been reading this thread on the Jockey Journal forum

If I'm not mistaken I believe the 'CH' in XLCH stands for Competition Hot which might explain the prominent 'H' sticker and might suggest this model has a little more oomph! All nice bikes but I particularly like the white one.
