| 1947 model 'U' 1200 cc
Hi everyone, just to let you know i withdrew the advert as the bike sold last saturday after listing it on e-bay. I had one enquiry from the riders websight but as we know things are pretty quiet on the vintage scene at the moment so this was no suprise. I was fortunate to be contacted by a like minded enthusiast i.e. ( old bikes, vintage flight jackets, wurlitzer jukeboxes ) and he paid not far short of the asking price so there are buyers out there if you are willing to negotiate the price. I am a firm believer in get it while you can so i am looking for something to join my 1965 panhead already! I am leaning towards the model j's and indian 101's from the late twenties so as long as it is old and american (no not Joan Rivers ) that will do for me. safe riding |

Thanks vincent, i was at that swapmeet with the 'u' and know the guy with the orange 53' indian. He had a 48' chief i was intrested in buying but the buyer i found at dorking for the 'u' pulled out 3 weeks later and it all fell through. The orange chief is lovely but far too modern for me with it's telescopic forks ! Thanks for your help and keep it coming |
