Re: Oil leak... oh what a shock... not.

My Lord, good to see you back, makes me feel i'm in safe hands. Running tin inner primary, and yes it doesn't fit (oh well, live and learn). Actually did what you said re: cleaning and silicone, also not put as much oil in, as is suggested in lots of post on other web forums, i filled it to the bottom of threads first, but now just over a quart, and will keep an eye on it. Case closed until next time.;)

Hi Che,
Good to see you still crankin and getting stuck in.
I seem to remember that there was a self oiler for the primary (not the correct term afraid, but I've had a few and can hardly type let alone get into tech talk), which i tried to shut off - as it wasn't doing the belt drive any good - are you sure that it is not this little blighter?

SF, no it's not the primary oiler, that has been capped, definately leaking from tranny mainshaft, gonna go for heavier oil and less oil in tranny, seems to be prefered method. Fu*k Super Nut, was never into cartoon heros anyhow.

Che, you say you've "capped" the chain oiler, Are you aware this is also the crankcase breather?

Paperplane, what i mean by 'capped is fed back through the back of inner primary... thanks for the concern though.
