.forgot to ask...

Am I correct in assuming that a '78 shovel has primary drive lubricated by engine oil?

cheers,

Jon

Should have if it's standard, jon, but may have been modded.

Re: .forgot to ask...

I`ve been running my Generator Shovel on the standard primary oiling setup with drip feed and scavenge system for 15 years. 70,000 miles down the road and its doing fine. The trick is very regular oil and filter changes every 1000/1500 miles ( expensive? check it out against the cost of an engine rebuild), this means that the risk of any swarf from chain and clutch wear getting where it should`nt is minimised.
