can I....

Is it worth while cleaning the air filter on an ss carb.or should i just replace...thanks zipps..

I assume you're talking about the normal foam type. Wash it thoroughly in petrol or paraffin, allow fumes to evaporate, re-oil with either the correct stuff or, if you haven't got any, a light lubricating oil, then replace filter.

If it's very dirty, and I'm assuming here that you've just bought the bike, then by all means replace it if you want peace of mind, but they'll last for years if properly maintained.
