Ironhead spitting through carb HELP

Maybe a question for Patrick, I just fitted new set of points and condensor to my 1965 XLCH magneto and now its spitting back through the carb and also feels like its running weak at cruising speeds. It didnt do this before i changed the points and condensor. Ive adjusted the carb and dont think there are any air leaks at manifold. Its just annoying when your going along and then it coughes and picks up again. Also when i blip the throttle it doesnt rev up cleanly, sort of hesitates. Any ideas whats causing this to happen? Ive got an L & L carb with fairbanks mag as fitted from standard.

Re: Ironhead spitting through carb HELP

Could it be timing? Changing the points could do that if the gap is different.
