Well I've got a few avenue's to explore, change oil and filter and I might replace the switch aswell.

Cheers Gray
I reason that as long as you're getting a good flow back to the tank nothing too bad can happen. I'd replace the switch unless I could borrow a decent oil pressure gauge. The light should come on when the pressure drops under 5 psi roughly, shouldn't it? Good idea to change the oil though and have a good look for bits, just in case.

Just thought, because I'm very quick on the uptake. What oil have you got in that Janis bike of yours. You're not using that synthetic snake oil stuff are you? or something of equally low viscosity. Nah cos not, daft question.

Hi Gray,
The last oil I put in was 20-50 (I think) Castrol, I brought it in NZ.
I saw some 20-50 in Halfords the other week for older vehicles/bikes, would that be worth a look?

I think it's 20-50, I'll check.

Hi Tibbs

I get my 20/50 from my local car accessory shop, its Duckhams, you maybe have to order it tho.

Halfords should be ok if its changed at around a 1000 Mls,which is what i do on my ole Brit bikes and 2500 on my FXR.

Good luck

Chill
