| flathead oil pipe sizes, getting hoses made up I need to get some oil lines made up. Rather then use push on pipes with crimp-on or jubilee fittings I wanted to make up some with proper ends but I need to know what ends to ask for. The male taper pipe fitting on the oil pump and the screw in fitting, what thread is it? I measured 26tpi and 0.551" or I guess 9/16". Also the screw-in fitting for the oil pressure switch, what thread is that, I think it might be stripped, is it a readily available Helicoil size or is it best to drill it out and tap it and make up an insert? I like the black WR style hoses on the 45"parts depot site but need to add in a BT canister oil filter so want to make a set that match rather than have 2 odd ones. Help appreciated

| Re: flathead oil pipe sizes, getting hoses made up Hi Mitip, same as before, search the FHP forum, it's been discussed there and I remember the sizes/threads/taper standards mentioned... Patrick |
