Hello Buzz

Welcome to our forum; I just LOVE that Pan, it looks so right!

As you'll probably have noticed therre are quite a few of us on here (myself included) who either own and ride older iron, or at least have a working interest in it.

Great to have you on board.

Re: Hello From The US

Thanks to all.

As most of our readers already know, American Iron Magazine focuses the majority of our editorial on newer Harleys and occasional other American V-Twins - stock, modified and custom. But my persoanal passion is greatest for the older Harleys and Indian motorcycles.

We cover at least one classic American bike every issue in the magazine, which seems quite popular. Because there is a great demand for more classics we have launched a free on-line magazine and forum at Classic American Iron. If you also like classic American motorcycles, please consider this an invite to come by and check it out.

Welcome Buzz, Nice Bike. Fascinating concept "crustorizing" I couldn't work the link but I presume the word is self explanatory and is just a substitute for riding on English roads.

Oops...sorry about that I put a coma in where it should have been a period. I have corrected it now. Try again if you wish at Classic American Iron There is a video series on how we redid the Panhead including rebuilding the engine and more.

We came up with the term Crustorization because it was a mechanical restoration but we made it look even crustier than before we started. Actually we undid a lot of the incorrect "resroration" from a previous owner.

Enjoy.

Yup that's the bike, VERY nice. I think like a total Clutz I was talking to you NOT Chris. See the confusion wrought ipon us fans when in the presence of such exhalted celebrity

Great magazine well worth the US$6 cover price. Shame about the new UK subscription though, hint hint

BTW picked up a copy of Chris's book "101 Harley-Davidson Twin Cam Performance Projects" the other day. Excellent work, please pass my compliments and thanks.

Enjoy.
You want to watch those periods Buzz they can really wreak hovoc! Been known to bring the whole party to a FULL STOP. That's probably why we call them full stops over here.

Any plans to produce a hard copy of Classic American Iron? I know you feature a fair amount of the old stuff in AIM. I guess it might detract from the main mag if you published another and dropped the oldies from the original.

I imagine you are a member of The Antique Motorcycle Club of America Inc. They produce a pretty slick magazine too. I know it's not just American made oldies but it does have a heavy Harley bias obviuosly. The club have a large and active "Chapter" here in Europe and a very committed membership in the UK.

Are you planning on running a big feature on the 60th anniversary of the HDRCGB in 2009? While I think about it have you featured much about one of our founders Fred Warr or Warr's Harley Davidson over the years. I am trying to put together a bit of a history and anything you have would be most welcome.
