| Great progress
Hi all, fitted the replacement (missing) float spring and the engine fired right up. Sounds great. I was concernd about the oil pressure. I took off the pressure switch, which broke in the process. Fired up the engine again and I was very happy to see the oil gushing out of the return side of the pump. The brakeing of the switch has probably done me a big favour, as this is what may have been causing the reading of low oil presure? The next problem to sort is the charging system. I will look into this when I get a new pressure switch. After what I have had to do to get my bike working again, I am now going to disclose the name of the person who did this to my bike, it is Don Carcass, HB Motorcycles in Dewsbury, West Yorkshire. He did not charge me for giving me my bike back not working. Thanks to all of you, what a fantastic club and forum. I hope to come along to Hunters and meet some of you in the very near future. Iron Andy. |
