Got a reply on friday

(google translator used here)

"Attentive to your message, I ask an apology for the tardiness of my reply, I am compiling inofrmacion I requested and send you the next day as requested"

Reason for this bit of a long shot is, my motor number is 6950 (circa 7000 built)
Talking to Indian fellas
Seems to be the latest known 46, plus happens to fit with a story that last batch in 46 went to Mexico Police!
maybe just coincidence tho ?

Re: My Project

Passed MOT on Monday

Now onward to the DVLA (age related plate) hopefully, they want to see the bike apparently work on a criteria of value/age etc.

Re: My Project

Latest stage , Tanks sorted horn mag & gen rebuilt also girder
electrics made tidy soldered joints ( 6v with cut out retained)
Starts quite well good oil return no wet sumping but runs crap as won`t settle to an idle, think it`s the leaking intake cone syndrome, suspected it would but wanted to get MOT/Reg sorted 1st then on to the fine fettle stage, lol

Re: My Project

Now, that's what I believe is known in the trade as "reet fookin' proper".

Lovely bike.

Re: My Project

I get the impression you are being very economical with the descrip of just how much work has gone into this to get it fettled, MOT'd and running ok. Are you making Mike's Kiwi Indian in California rich? Or is Motolux still running in Edinburgh? Give us some words. it's an awesome project. Had much experience with Indians.... ? Incredible effort if it is your first.

I know nothing about them, i just admire all the work people put into them and i love to see them restored and ridden.

Re: My Project

Nice job Greg.
Are you running a Linkert,if so,make your self one of these.

With inlet closed give it 10-15 PSI and use suds on the manifold joints.
Check the fuel pickup pipe isn't loose and that it's an Indian one,has one more hole than Harley tube.

The seals in the pic are PEEK,not cheap but if all else fails.

Re: My Project

The last 6 pics in the link below look like Greg working on his bike.

The pics before are from the Indian Rally in Scotland over the weekend (See Vintage Section).
