Can you see the pic in post #18?
That's the only one remaining in this thread as it's uploaded from photobucket.
The others I think were loaded as attachments from users PC and when post limit was reached they were deleted to allow further uploads as there is a limit on capacity.

LMAO, I was the same. I thought WTF they all on about??? but then I realised it was what Limey Dave said. They are no longer there as the user has reached his limit and had to delete some to post other pics elsewhere. He should have just pasted them in instead of using the attachment facility. They'd still be there if so. I'm gutted like you, was getting excited at seeing this "wreck" or whatever it is, but it's not to be .

Re: My Project

Added a few more pics ,link in post #34

Been having some fun with cold start sequence (neighbours not too chuffed)
Finally got the intake sorted ok with peek seals installed as had been a hard starter
Following std procedure
Prime full choke one kick, (2nd if colder) up one position on choke ign on to fire, still no easier!

Only got it in the right ball park after reading a sellers starting discription of his mag equiped chief on flea-bay
Prime full choke one kick then choke off ign 2 kicks to fire.
Mine only likes half choke one kick to prime.

So seems those peek seals are rather an improvement
Curious about the plug readings tho ( see pic) front cylinder always lighter, anyone any ideas?
Greg

Greg
Link go's to original 18 pics (last added 2/7/09.
Without seeing the pics,if you can see a diff in shade of colour then you're as near as.It's rare to get both the same unless they're both rich and black.
As long as the front isn't too light I'd run it and just keep an eye on it,as the new seals and the engine bed in more,it may even it's self out.

Did you use a tester as in #18?
Did you retest after installing peek seals and also test actual manifold, they can sometimes be porous, esp bronze/brass ones.
Did the seals come from Mouldthread?
