Best deal/supplier

Hi all,

I have been buying quarts of Rev Tech 20/50 for my 81 Ironhead, it's costing me a small fortune. Where can I buy 5 litre cans + of 20/50 oil, good for an Ironhead (same goes for the primary oil). I am not a fan of straight 50 weight, this is England, not Arizona, it's a cold climate we live in, in this country.

Thanks in advance,

Andy.

Try one of the small Car Acc shops for Morris or Duckhams 20/50 in 5 Ltr cans,some will order it in for you.

Morris do a V-Twin oil 20/50 also a oil called Ring Free, this is for Diesels but is the same oil re-badged,
It meets all the requirements.

For Morris oils also try some motor factors,Frenco stock their straight oil for air cooled VW's,so may order for you.You can save abit by getting 25 litre drum and tap.
I use Morris 20/50 in old Brit stuff as it's low detergent.

What Limey Dave said; a lot of agricultural dealers also stock Morris products, and they also do home delivery I believe;

Morris Lubricants

Re: Best deal/supplier

Wilkinsons do a cheapo oil, dont know if it would be ok in an Ironhead.

They do a 10/40 mineral oil for £9.99 5 litres
or a 15/40 diesel oil for £8.49 which is good in my Transit!

In my British bike days the recommendation was 30sae in winter and 50sae in summer, so you had an oil change every 6 months

Good value if you buy direct from Morris innit, specially as it only seems to be in there for 5 minutes. Anyone else used ring free spec seems high so might give it a try
