I might buy a lotto ticket....

My Ironhead failed the MOT yesterday because of a cracked top tree mount.
I said to the guy are you sure, I got home and stripped it down.
I count myself a very lucky man that this didn't end up nasty.
I have had the bike since 1999 and never noticed it as the guy who sold it to me had wrapped some insulation tape around it and it was just something I never looked at.
I couldn't sleep at night knowing I had just sold a potential life threatning part to someone, I hope he gets what he deserves.
Has anyone got a spare 1974 XLH Ironhead top tree they wish to part with?
My lovely wife surprised me with tickets to Goodwood this weekend, I was hoping to go on the bike.

Any help would be appreciated.

Bloody hell, Tibbs!!!

Suppose the 2 bits just about held together with the help of the handlebar clamp!!!

I'm off in the garage, I have 2 or 3 lying about but have to check they're not for the 900, smaller diametre fork legs...

Yep, got one, tested it on a Showa leg and it's got the Allen head screw AND a HDRCGB sticker on the front...

PM me if interested, £20.00 plus £5.00 postage.

FUCK!!!!

Want me to pick up a Tatts ticket for you, mate?

This Tuesday's draw is for an Aussie record $90 MILLION!!(£$*%&$@*(£$@))!!!

Looking at that, you are odds-on to win .....even at the stated 45 million to one......

You're a lucky bloke Tibbs; just one word of warning, don't strap a tent to the bars when you've fitted the new one!

You must have been a very good boy in a previous life, Tibbs me old Mate.
Might be worth having a very good look at the bottom yoke and the frame tubes and the fork stantions. Something broke that top yoke.
By the by. Any idea on the brand of insulating tape. Must be bloody good stuff.

Thanks Grey, I think she all looks fine but it's worth another look.
I took her to Goodwood last weekend and it feels ok.
