1966 Sportster seat and screen pouch

Mate of mine has asked me for an opinion on how much these might fetch on ebay; I told him I haven't a clue but I would ask for some advice on where best to advertise them and for how much.
They're in pretty good nick apart from being grubby; the seat's in it's original box and is stamped 'Oct 1966' on it's base.
Any suggestions please?
Cheers,
Pete

eBay is obviously the place. You will attract a concours/restoration buyer and thus my guess would be.....you will get as much as someone is prepared to pay. Depends how often this stuff comes up...

Some people see Donald Duck dollar signs and get greedy and fail to get a sale. Maybe start at a hundred quid? If that is a good deal, the bidding will quickly reflect that....

Re: 1966 Sportster seat and screen pouch

Seat's not all that rare, screen pouch might be; the latter is not specifically a Sporty item, at a guess it's part of the "King of the Highway" stuff fitted to 60's Glides.

Seat as you're fully aware Pete is off the XLH model and wasn't all that popular when new, many riders junked them in favour of something sportier. Never had one but received wisdom is that they weren't very comfortable either.

For that reason NOS ones aren't uncommon on US fleabay, might be a different matter in Europe 'cos the lower shipping costs may well mean it attracts a higher bid.

I'd agree with Kiwi Dave on the seat, try the pouch at £40. Sounds a lot but my guess is that the pouch might sell first.
