just spotted this on ebay Harley Davidson cv carb, part number 27038-92.

Will this work on my 81 Ironhead?

I'm not an expert on ironheads but as you want a quick reply - yes it would,. I'm assuming it's the 40mm cv which was a very popular performance enhancement for ironheads

It's the 38mm one you want for the ironhead chap. You can buy the adaptors from the states, they're not expensive.

Any of the evo cv carbs are an easy fix for your ironhead ,and a huge improvement try T.H.S great service and advice seem to stock everything i need to keep my ironhead going
