Choke cable

Hi all,

just bought a 38mm CV carb off ebay, £35 (including p&p). There is no choke cable attached. Can I use the one from my bendix?
Does anyone have a pic or two of the cable in situ?

Many thanks,

Andy.

Re: Choke cable

choke cable from a mikuni is interchangable

they cost about £20 - £30 new which is why many second hand carbs come minus the cable

Re: Choke cable

The cable (when you've got one) will actually fit in the same place that the old one did (beside the ignition switch). Just route it between the pots over the carb adaptor.

Re: Choke cable

My CV came with a choke cable fitted which was just too short to reach the normal position by the ignition switch. So, I drilled a hole into the stay which I made for the air cleaner and now have the knob (excuse the word) next to the air cleaner.
