1964 Sportster

Hi guys. Wonder if anyone can help. I will be starting a rebuild/restore project on an XLCH '64 sportster soon and will require a factory workshop manual.Does anyone have one for sale in paper or cd form. The bike has a later frame and some of the cycle parts are later too. I need to identify in detail what I have and find my Clymer manual somewhat lacking. Thanks in anticipation.

Re: 1964 Sportster

Hi Jules. My MoCo manual is only 70-78 but my Clymer goes from 59 - 75. If that's any help you're welcome to read it any time. Obviously you wouldn't want me to scan any of it on my computer because that would be a breach of copyright, that goes without saying, don't know why I mentioned it. Probably the MoCo parts book would be more useful for your purposes. My copy claims to cover 54 - 78 XL Models. I hear those '54 XLs are pretty rare.

Hi.

Pooks books are on Ebay as : Motoringmagpie.

Their shop is here :

eBay UK Shop - Pooks Motor Books: BROCHURES, HANDBOOKS MANUALS, PROGRAMMES

They only have 3 HD books listed, but none for the Sportster.

Re: 1964 Sportster

Thanks for the help guys. Don't know how I missed the flea bay cd's Baza.Must be my age.Probably need a restoration myself.Anyway, have ordered them. Thanks Gray, but I've got two editions of the Clymer manuals. They are ok ish,but not in depth enough when you know naff all about 60's sportsters. One thing I do know is these pre '57 sportsters are rarer than rocking horse s..t. if you can find one.lol.
