Do prices differ between stealerships

Does the price of a stock part, in my case a final drive belt sprocket, differ between dealers, or should it be the same price from anywhere in the country. If they do differ whos the cheapest?

Re: Do prices differ between stealerships

They are definitely NOT the same, so shop around.

I'm not going to name any names, but I get a 10% discount from one dealer, and after the discount, they were still more expensive than the dealer I don't get discount from (and they didn't know about the discount when I phoned for a price.

As far as I understand it, dealers are free to charge whatever they please, and if you have anyone in the States who could accept a mail order from a US dealer, and post it on to you, you would still be quids in, even after paying shipping, duty and VAT. That's if you have time.

I used Zanotti and got 20% off US list for mail order. They're now operating out of New Castle H-D, PA since Zanotti shut up shop.

Worth looking at eBay too. I got a brand new and unused rear pulley for £47 and a new and unused front for £32, although I had to get the front shipped from US eBay.

And it probably would've arrived a damn sight quicker than one from France!

Re: Do prices differ between stealerships

Not sure this is a tech question, but as admin and a red blob mod have answered,I'll go with the flow.

Offsetting the postage against the reduced price, you may well find Jersey HD the cheapest. At least with Tony, you'll get an honest answer as to time.
I did think about a take off part from an Indy, but think they'd be thin on the ground for later models.

Edit
Just seen Tony is on holiday till next week,so some of the above may not apply,I've never dealt with the others there.
