Insurance...

....Do you declare all mods?

I'm having a nightmare at the moment with a very lightly modified 99 Evo FXDS-Conv.
Custom paint, non standard bars, fat boy forks, no claims or accidents, no convictions, bike garaged etc ...
Comprehensive can't get much change out of £300 FFS!
Standard bike comprehensive would cost me £63.20!

I would because if they can these insurance companies will find any excuse not to pay out if the bike is seen as not described when policy taken out.

Like the chavs cars, they are not insured if certain chav has not disclosed big bore exhaust, lowered suspension, blackened out windows etc.

Re: Insurance...

You have just listed a load of mods on a public forum!

By not advising the insurers of "material fact" you are at best uninsuring yourself, at worst commiting insurance fraud.

Re: Insurance...

This thread may give you some new ideas?

Converted Sportsters Uninsurable Except at a Ridiculous Premium? Surely Not?

Re: Insurance...

Bikesure- Adrin Flux. Will give you a quote at a good price. But be warned the will cross referance your details with all your other policies car and bike and if they find anything different they will charge an admin fee to change it, and if you want to cancel the policy you wont get much back even if the insurance has only been running for a few weeks
