Lightbulb My buys from Sunday!

Got this for the 883, £40!

Only problem is this blemish in the paint, was hoping it was a bloom in the lacquer, it's not it seems to be deep in the base colour.

The question is what to do?

1/ Leave it, the cheapest!

2/ Get the top sprayed

3/ Get some graphic vinyl to cover the top, also does the scratches round the filler. Thinking along the lines of silver following the lines pinstripes from back to front.

4/ Get the tank re-sprayed. Nah, out of the question the rest of the paint is too good and it's too expensive!

What do you lot think?

But my real bargain was this....

A brand new Sundowner solo..... £25. Yep £25!!!!

Why, the little Road King Classic Badge was upside down on one side. 1 hours work and all done like new! {Well its is new} Just picked some staples out turned the badge round and re-stapled, the soddin' bracket will cost me more than the seat!

marked tank

Think i saw this a Warrs, good buy and the seat. dibbed out and left early and they dropped all the prices grrr.

Think it maybe easier to respray it, tried a couple of repairs once myself and they did not turn out very well.

Well that's the basic idea, but with some 'proper' stuff made for the job!

Re: The seat I've now gotta get one of these....

Motherwell Racks Link

... and the best bit here is they have gone down from $70 to $49.00 US.

Then those rear foot boards can go too. ;)

Oi Stevo,
didn't see you at Freds !
I've still got some matt green paint left if that's any use to you !!
And, I reckon you should have turned the other badge upside down too.
See ya,
J.

We did see you - you were riding along on your way home on the Embankment looking mean, so mean you didn't wave to the guy on the 45!!!!!!

Re: My buys from Sunday!

Yeah 2:38 an early night!
I remember the 45, he was going at such a pace, and the glint of his chrome was so distracting that I didn't get a chance to wave, (ahem).
Geez and Shirl and Crippen were there too, everyone seemed to have a bit of luck, I got a nice dash and a pair of N.O.S fork tubes for the Pan.
Sorry, no captains hats Stevo,....we missed that boat, eh?
J.
