I have had to admit to being a biff on a few occasions here, but what is all the code on the posts about: 8), D, LOL etc? I should point out that I do have my uses, just not ones that seems to be coming in useful just now....

Puzzled about this for a while then realised most of that guff is left over from the old forum, they were the 'codes' for the smilies, now they are etc etc.

Although the acronym site posted by Grumpy was useful, it is run by Quakers so is a bit limited on some of the ruder ones. The following is much more comprehensive:http://www.acronymdictionary.co.uk/ |
