Custom made Parts needed ?

I'm hoping to fit a V-rod rear wheel in my chop. I've got it lined up in the frame, but need a rear sprocket made up as it's chain drive. Does any one know of a company that can make one off sprockets or canI get a blank one and get it drilled to match a belt drive one.

Cheers
Tim

one thing to say ...
cush drive.
not compatable with any other harley model so thats out the window?
as for getting a replacement machined up as a one off?
the cost would be horrendous (unless you fall lucky), unfourtunately the cost would probabley be more than a similar new wheel that will do the job and take a chain sprocket.

Wouldn't have thought the price would be too prohibitive Simon, but hopefully Timbo, i will be able to give you an idea where to get one,and how much for a blank a bit later on, as i know someone who has just bought one.

the cost will be high due to fact that a blank as put it will have to be of a high grade of steel and has to have 70 odd teeth machined to it then it has to be retempered if its to last more than five minutes,
then you have the problem of wear and say 10,000mile down the road you're going to need a new one.

Not to bad a price "so far" Simon.

Timbo,try these.

Sprockets Unlimited
Claybrook Farm Cottage
103 Bretforton Rd
Badsey
Evesham
Worcs.
WR11 7XQ

e-mail= atrosprox@btinternet.com

Tel=01386 831341

Price = £22 for a blank, but i'm sure it comes with the outer teeth already cut, just need a friendly Machinist to finish off the inner holes.

Keep us posted

Try

K-M CUSTOM ENGINEERING LTD
Unit 2B Woodcock Trading Estate
277 Barton Street
Gloucester GL1 4JE

Tel: 01452 530180
Fax: 01452 530181
Email: keith@km-customengineering.co.uk
Web: www.km-customengineering.co.uk

To machine the Blank, they were really helpful with cutting and welding an engine spocket for my Shovel.

Similar scenario, Buy a Flat Blank give it to K-M with a sketch and "Roberts yer Mothers Brother"

Re: Custom made Parts needed ?

I've used sprockets unlimited in evesham before and recomend them highly.
They machined a 520 pitch blank to fit the wheel on my hagon grasstracker for about £35, turnaround in 4-5 days. good stuff.

Re: Custom made Parts needed ?

Thanks, I'll make a few calls. I was hoping to use the V-rod wheel as I've not seen one on a chop yet. If I can't use it, then I'll get myself a nice 80 spoke to match the front. I know it'd be easier, but that's not the way.
