Going for a ride Essex, Suffolk

Hey, I'm making the most of the warm spell and going for a spin, maybe up to black bear. If you see me on my train stop me and say hi. Always looking for more riding buddies.

Re: Going for a ride Essex, Suffolk

Hi,

I hope to be riding up to Black Bear HD,this Saturday for a gander, depends if i can get away from work early.I need to find another dealer now that 3 rivers is no longer. If i remember correctly Newmarket is a nice ride from Kings Langley A1--then the A505 Baldock thru to Duxford ect.Stadium is proberly nearer for me(30 miles at a guess),but not such a nice ride,Maidenhead is about 37 miles and is also a nice ride from here,Silverstone is about 50ish miles i suppose and once the other side of Dunst-bubble is a pleasent ride up the A5.Warrs in Chelsea is also an option to use but i aint keen on riding in London.

Any of you guys/girls on here use any of these dealers,if so which one and are you happy with the customer servive ect.

Black Bear are about as good as a dealer gets, but they are still a dealer. Excellent help and faultless when you buy a new bike from them, not perhaps quite so keen thereafter, but nice enough people.

I do all the stuff (so far) myself, and if I think something is beyond my capabilities I will probably go to an independant. There is one in Maldon, Essex, although I havent spoken to anyone who has used his services. He has however been there since 1992, called Harley-Tech. Has a web site.

In fact now that I think of it I will post an independant thread elsewhere, and see if there are any others I dont know about, you may wish to try the same.

Re: Going for a ride Essex, Suffolk

Wild Bill,

I need a Harley dealer for the service stamp in my book to keep the warranty valudated,it'll be a year old in May,so will proberly have to have it done at a Harley dealer next year as well. After that i'll more than likely take it to Rogers(Full Bore Watford)I used to work with Jumbo one of the mechanics there,i know nowt about the workings of engines, but have heard very good reports about Full Bore. Its always good to find a Harley dealer as well, even if its just for meet-ups for ride outs, lets hope another HD dealer is appointed in my area.

BAZA...if you are reading this is Full Bore able to stamp my service book to keep the warranty valuedated....ie Harley approved?

With the new regulations, isnt any competent dealer able to service then stamp a book for warranty purposes? As long as OEM parts are used of course.

That is what I am led to believe. But a dealer will never admit to that. Not sure that moco would let them warranty work though.
