| Loud Pipes
I came across this link on another Harley Forum (US) which I found interesting: http://motorcyclecruiser.com/newsand...orcycle_noise/ As with the majority of riders, I run aftermarket pipes on my softail & even with baffles, they certainly are not quiet, so I'm one of the guilty ones. |

I wonder how many Harleys are fitted with SE pipes by dealers around the world? Maybe H-D just think there are a lot of off roaders??

This is a huge issue here in the California market, & is constantly bring debated. I am going to be attending some meetings on this issue & will keep you all posted.

| Re: Loud Pipes The Motorcycle Cruiser article was informative and well-written. We are all at risk due to the high probability of stringent legislation, primarily because some riders (HD and non-HD) cannot moderate their own behaviour to be considerate to others. I run a Softie with SEs. It makes more noise than stock BUT I do not find it necessary to rev the nuts off the bike while in a residential area, or engage in burnouts or other pathetic forms of attention seeking that I have seen on the public highway! |
