Re: MOT and Plates

Depends who's doing it but you should have a large one phnar phnar

Do what Baza does and have a large plate to stick over the small one then remove it after the test ;)

Re: MOT and Plates

As Kendo says, depends as to how tame your local mot place is.
Mine, he is great, couldnt care less about plates, or exhausts as long as they dont say not for road use on them, so V&H which can be heard 20 miles away are fine by him.

mind you he is a genuine motorcyclist himself, has a fantastic collection of british bikes, which he still rides (he must be in his late 60s). its worth going to him just to see the stuff he has got.

mind you he's a miserable old f*cker, but who cares

Re: MOT and Plates

Hi guys.

Check out the bit I have put in the latest Quin (due out to you in the next few days) about small plates and how 'Big Brother' is going to be after us for real, or so it seems yet again. Remember 12 points and you loose your licence !!!
Bazas idea is an old and trusted system for MOT's, wack a correct size plate on for the test then change it back to your 'other' one. It only takes a couple of minuets and there is no chance of a failed test.

For the British market Sir, I suggest you fit a rear light lense that has the clear glass on the underside. Then fit the 7x9 plate under the stop/tail light. I rest my case me lord.

Bloody stupid innit?
