| Re: Fitting handlebars Thanks to all for advice Well we have been successful so far. rather than cut and connect new wires we soldered the new wiring to the switches and got new connector blocks, so the entire handle bar wiring and indicators has been completely renewed and are now internal Took the best part of a day and still some finishing touches to do tomorrow. the only thing is we opted to not have the indicators on the handlebars so that they had a nice clean look. cousins bike is a springer... went to fit them on the springer forks and the bloody things hit the tank on a hard right or left lock No idea how to fit them now. The brackets that i have do not give enough clearance whatever position i put them. a complete bummer A very enjoyable experience and the springer is starting to look how it should!!!. The bars on the springer risers could not be tapped with grub screws. however we created our own knurls using a centre punch and hammer, what a pain, combined with loctite the bars are now rock solid and do not move at all. The rest of the bike will now steadily be rewired as previous owners have done some very shoddy rewiring. Again many thanks will try and post a picture once complete SH
