The Banbury Run

Great day yesterday at the annual Banbury Run - a 500-strong ride out by bikes that are all pre-1931, all organised by the VMCC.

Huge collection of oldies try to get around the 50-odd mile route - some manage it, some don't quite make it! A lot of old British bikes, but I found a few that have found their way across the water! Took tons of pictures, here are a few:

Loved the two sidecar combinations...

some great bikes there, i saw a few harleys on the run, i saw the indian and the grey harley but they didnt have sidecars on when i saw them, maybe different one?
there was also a nice grey us military style harley with rifle bag etc, parked outside the gate. very nice looker.

I wondered where all the old bikes were going, I was working at the NEC and saw loads of good bikes on the road heading south as I was going to work. I nearly turned around to follow them.

yeah i live just outside banbury, in milcombe. im just about to join this club at long last too!
let me know if you fancy a ride out sometime, i need to put some miles on my softy to run it in!
