Muck off

Any of you guys n gals used this stuff? any impressions?

I've used it on mountain bikes etc - it's bright pink and usually comes in a plastic bottle with spray nozzle.

Works OK on pushbikes, but you do have to wash it off before it dries, or it can cause marks. This might be worse on a hot surface Give it a try on a small area first - usually about Ł6-7 a bottle from cycle shops.

Thats the problem and I wasn't sure if it would strip the paint off the engine casings with it being Alkaline
may just stick to gunk

There was an article about these cleaners some time ago in one of the bike mags. Sorry to be vague but I can't remember which one or when as I was recently given a load to read

I do remember that the Hein Gericke ones (there are two) came out best though... and I believe are cheaper

Aye, I thought it wasn't available anymore used to us it when I was an apprentice mechanic, its not as thick as gunk and washes off betterer
