DAYTONA -- Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler has inspired a limited-edition line of Harley-Davidson motorcycles. The rocker took time away from the group earlier this year to undergo throat surgery, but he kept busy during his recovery and came up with a new custom-made bike creation.

Limited to ten unique, custom motorcycles, the exclusive Steven Tyler Signature Series is designed to capture and exemplify Tyler's love for motorcycling and his unique, artistic flair.

The series, manufactured by Hellbound Steel Motorcycles with Tyler's personal style in mind, will feature several firsts in the custom motorcycle industry, including a specially designed logo and Steven Tyler signature components.

The collection will also showcase a powerful, baritone-producing, Harley-Davidson 1690cc Twim Cam 103 engine which screams louder than Tyler himself and other top quality components. The bikes will be individually serial numbered 1-10 and be NADA listed.

The Steven Tyler Signature Series are priced at $80,000 each. For that price, buyers get custom equipment, including components chosen personally by Tyler, who's a long-time rider.

They also receive a private reception with Tyler in Daytona Beach, Florida during the 2007 Bike Week, as well as round-trip airfare to the event.

Tyler partnered with Harley-Davidson dealer Bruce Rossmeyer along with guidance of Rossmeyer's personal custom motorcycle designer, Tim Gabel, on the 10 custom-made bikes.

The new bikes will launch on October 20 at Bruce Rossmeyer's Destination Daytona, the world's largest Harley Davidson dealership, located in Ormond Beach, Florida.

Four of the Steven Tyler Signature Series motorcycles have already been sold, so if you're interested, log on to brucerossmeyer.com.

Tyler says, "I love to ride. I love the freedom to have the wind blow through my hair, and I love the vibrations! They go into my backbone and remind me of being on stage. Growing up in Yonkers, New York, I went to hardware stores and admired minibikes. When I discovered big bikes and found that they had a motor and you didn't have to pedal, I was hooked."

Thank you Steven. For contributing to the never-ending list of ''celebrities'' adding their ''custom bike'' bullshirt to an overwhelmingly high heap.

*sigh*

.............this is from a USA site and what one of our American cousins say's....

I didn't see any mention of it at www.brucerossmeyer.com. I was trying to find a photo of the bike(s), with no luck. Plenty of press releases but the only photos are of the androgenous Mr. Tyler. I can probably save myself the trouble, though: the bikes have extended forks, stretched frames, stretched tanks, oddly skewed pipes, chrome billet wheels, wide rear tires and Liberace paint jobs. Ho hum. If I'm wrong, I'll sing Sweet Emotion on Main Street.
