If you visit the HD site, http://www.harley-davidson.com/wcm/C...ages/home.jsp? there is a feedback option to say what you think about it. It's pretty feeble, with few options about what to say, but better than nothing. Much along the lines of what Volkswagen did, when customer feedback said they should build the new beetle. The lack of floating rotors may not be an issue at this stage: it's aprototype, and if they wanted, they could fit the twin Brembos of the Street Rod, which would be a good move. It's a good Harley concept, because it has clear links to their heritage (which the V-Rod famously failed to deliver, and suffered as a result) but is updated to address many of the criticisms of older ones, such as the distinct lack of power for a start. It is a bike that could attract new customers, without alienating existing ones. Shame about that exhaust can though.... A black exhaust and a single small can, and it could be very cool indeed. Something like this maybe....

I know its aimed at Europe, its a Harley, and it may be quick, but that racey/sportsbike look does 'nt do diddley for me. Its just not Harley enough for my taste (whatever that means....I know what I mean). I think it would just blend in and get lost amongst the Fazers, Hornets and all the other plastic contraptions in this country. |
