This is an Internet Forum, the whole point is to ask questions, debate ideas, argue your point... or is it that we all have to agree..?
The point that I am making is that your post was wrong!

Apologies if I'm being thick here... (what, me?) but are the contents of this Thread being reported back in any way to HD UK..?

Nimrod you are so wrong! READ the principal's FIRST post!

Agreed...

And I fully take your point re. the Thread getting off topic...

But a fair few people had quite a lot to say on related matters.

I guess somebody should've diverted that debate onto a new Thread...

Anyway, it's a beautiful day, and time for breakfast ;-)

Take it easy, Nimrod ~

Re: A dealer's perspective - life at Oxford H-D

Fair play to John, top respeck, for having the balls to come on here in the first place, knowing full well some shit would probably come his way.
I certainly couldn't imagine the previous incumbents (magic group) of Oxford HD being so pro-active.
John is to be congratulated on the change in attitude & service that his dealership supply. I'm only 10 mins from wootton, but there was a time when it was the last place on earth where I'd go for anything Harley.
Guess its a case of same pub, same beer, different landlord.

Any room for the dyno at this new cheltenham gaff ?

John,

I'm glad I posted my initial post, I like the way these threads develop, and its a good healthy discussion.

Just one one I agree if your bike is over 2 years old with 10k, mine is 10 months with 10k.

I guess I will just lock it away for a year to average out the mileage... become anther Harley Sunday Polisher... (lol)

Is the Cheltenham store open yet, if so, where?

Re: A dealer's perspective - life at Oxford H-D

The store will begin trading on Monday, 14th July. It's likely that the builders will probably not have finished by then, but the formal opening is planned for the 3rd weekend in August.

Cheltenham Harley-Davidson, Tewkesbury Road, Cheltenham. GL51 7PA

Bugger. I only ever wanted to be a Sunday polisher but I came home from the Vintage this morning and got plastered in Shropshire sh*t; does that mean I've failed?
Cheers, Pete.

I normally run home at weekends to Tanygrisiau North Wales from whereI work in Kent, and I had intended to take in the 'Vintage' on Saturday and camp over, so checked the forecast... No way... stay in Kent...!! Gale force wind and heavy rain...

I even failed to take in the region 17 meet in Planet Thanet.

So I think you failed miserably that bloody red Sropshire mud gets everywhere..... You be cleaning it for months to get rid og that..
