Re: A dealer's perspective - life at Oxford H-D

Got back from Vegas late thursday, & was quite glad. Vegas on holiday & Vegas on business are two different things. Plus it was `kin hot. I think the lowest day temp was 106.
It was very nice to meet up with John & have a few beers & a chat. A very nice chap & a pleasure to deal with. He is a believer in the club & happy to deal with any of the members.
I enjoyed meeting & having a few with quite a few of the Brits: Neil from Cheltenham, Steve Westray from Preston & Rob Warr from London.
Got to see all the new stuff & glad hand with all the Harley big wigs.
Best of all, got to catch a stinking cold....Bloody Airplanes.

I got back Saturday pm, having not flown out of Vegas until 4 pm on Friday, a day after Phil.

Yes, we did enjoy a few beers Phil, and I'm sure we'll do the same in Denver next July! You certainly seemed in your element amongst all those Brit dealers and H-D UK staff!

ps - my Folsom H-D t-shirt fits perfectly!

Likewise John, I had a few people at work yesterday ask me where Oxford is, as I was sporting a spiffy Oxford HD shirt.

That should answer Chris`s question too.

As is well documented here, I don't do free t-shirts! Not even for me!

I bought one from my store, and swapped it with one Phil bought from his store!

Hi John,
A few folk from Brizzle swung by your Cheltenham H-D branch the other Sunday hearing through the grapevine that it was having an open day, as were, I believe, Brizzle H-D, when they got to Cheltenham everything was shut & it seems, they were not the only folk there, was it just a rumor??

Looks like the grapevine got it horribly wrong!

Can't comment on Bristol, but our Cheltenham store had never planned any kind of event for Sunday 3rd, and like all other Blade Group motorcycle businesses, doesn't open regularly on Sundays.

Cheltenham's formal Grand Opening weekend will take place in August, and I'll PM you the dates if you wish.

Cheers
