Barbara is still having the same trouble, Harley is on it, Buell is not. Bloody nigh impossible to make them understand. See what happens next week, she has just given them a bit of grief. All three of my bikes are on it, we are both with the same brokers.

What happens if you have a traders policy? Just wondering like

The reply we received from the Motor Insurance Bureau


Dear Mr Cooper
Thank you for your recent communication about your insurance record not appearing on the MID.
MIB are data controllers of the Motor Insurers' Database (MID). We do not add or update any policy details on the MID.
The responsibility for updating the database is with the Underwriting insurance companies. At the present time they have up to 7 days to update 95% of all records on the MID. If your record is not on the database (and we can confirm it is not) or is incorrect then only the insurer can add the record and only they can correct it.
However a record on MID is not proof of insurance. Similarly the lack of a record on MID is not proof of no insurance.

I've just had a run in with ebike insurance over this very issue,sorted now but comunication with an online company is a pain in the arse

I WANT TO SPEAK TO A PERSON etc etc

I just changed my insurance to ebike, and just found out my Bike is no longer on MID Have written to them

I have finally got around to checking my fleet of vehicles, to find they are all on MID. However my Harley is described as: "DUMP CODE COMPANY USE". I feel a letter coming on!
