Re: Evel Knievel

Sad to hear the news: he died on my old man's would have been 97th birthday.
R.I.P. Evel, you gave a lot of pleasure to many during your life.

Re: Evel Knievel

RIP. EVEL

A toy that will bring back many fond memories from when it was originally released in 1973. Taking inspiration from American icon, Evel Knievel, famed for his high-risk record breaking motorcycle stunts and including everything shown here. Many may remember the motor-like whir of the hand-powered launcher and the incredible speed of the stunt bike as it races away, capable of performing wheelies, jumps and of course, crashes - just like Evel himself.

The ramps are adjustable providing lots of variation with the motorcycle leaping through the 'fiery' hoop, crashing through the wall or just hurtling across the floor. Everyone will be enthralled - regressing many back to their childhood as well as delighting a whole new generation. A 56 page booklet details the full history of Evel and his action toys and a numbered certificate guarantees its authenticity.

Re: Evel Knievel

I hope they re-release the toys again, my lad would love one of those ramp sets.

There will never be anyone to really fill Evel's boots, with the onset of computer graphics in films the bar is raised in what is expected by the crown.

The reality of stunt riding pales in significance next to the Matrix or Die Hard 4.0.

Sad but true.

Rest In Peace

Better than in Pieces.

Re: Evel Knievel

When trying to emulate him on my bike, I screwed up my stunt and lost my two front teeth - I was only 11 and my mum was gutted (sorry mum!)

RIP Evel, a one-of-a-kind guy.
