I think the lad was a bit overwhelmed as there was a few tears. He was only at the front door for a wee while but we all stayed outside, lining the the road for about half an hour while we supped tea that was handed round for those that wanted a brew.

The local paper photogs turned up for a few snaps.

Hopefully we did what we set out to do and make the lads day.

I'm glad I went, and being as it rounded of my last working day for the year, It's kick started my Christmas spirit.

I haven't got any pics to post up, but when others have on various forums, I'll put links up so you can have a butchers.

Right, I'm off for a wander to get a fish supper for me & my good lady.

Re: Anyone that can make the Slough area: The Make a Wish Foundation

Make-A-Wish Foundation UK is extremely grateful to everyone who played a part in granting little Jack’s wish on Friday. We knew when we called upon support from the motorcycle community that the response would be positive but we had no idea that it would be so overwhelming! Jack is a very poorly little boy and 2008 is going to be difficult for his family. You all have such kind hearts and we thank you most sincerely for providing magical memories they will be able to treasure for ever!

Warmest regards

Carole Pallant
PR & Celebrity Manager

To all those who took part, passed the word on etc.
Thank you everyone for making Jack's wish come true. I've never been prouder of my fellow motorcyclists, seeing the support you will give to occasions like this. Jack and his family were very impressed by the number of you who turned out on a cold day to make it happen.
May I make special mention of a few people - I'm so sorry I don't know all your names - the rider I press-ganged into leading the way, the riders who made sure the rest of us made the correct turns, Heather of the West London Harley Riders who organised our meeting point, the guys who came in Santa costumes and kept the photographers happy, and to Rachel at BMF HQ for co-ordinating it all! Apart from the Harley riders I know the Pan Clan were represented and thanks also to the forums who got the word out. And finally, thank you to the Make-A-Wish Foundation for giving us the opportunity to help.
Best wishes to you all.
