I was at the H&D dealership in Amersfoort today

Massive show room, I have to say.

The clothing section is cool too....

I will be going back tomorrow to do some shopping.

I am driving back to the UK on Saturday.

Re: I was at the H&D dealership in Amersfoort today

Is it still called Motor Saloon, I remember going to the old shop several times tucked round a back street, used to do great hot chocolate and coffee free!

Not too far from the Centrum rally.

Steve

PS Have been meaning to ask, have you got a Dutch connection, isn’t Qwerty quarter in Dutch! That’s what they used to called the little 25 cent coins you put in the phone boxes and vending machines.

They are still called motor Saloon, but if I am not mistaken they have moved to a bigger/better showroom. And yes they still do the hot choc/coffees. Good old dutch hospitality. I spoke to an older lady, well older than me, and she was very helpful and polite.

Yes I do have Dutch connections. Me wife is Dutch and we both live in England. We spent Christmas with her family and 5 month old baby of ours.

The forum name qwerty derives from the qwerty layout keyboards I use, which I have managed to brake 6!!!! of them so far. Everyone keeps telling me that I press the keys too hard... But I disagree.

Re: I was at the H&D dealership in Amersfoort today

I've just come back from there (normally don't make a point of it and even try and hide the fact i'm dutch on forums) but this is so funny all these dutch connections. While I was over there (Venlo and surroundings) I was dreaming of riding the tree-lined roads I know, I'm still new to biking and everything, 2 years now (hurray the restricted has just come off my licence). I hope to be going over on the bike in 2008. Got the sambal, the hagelslag and peperkoek. And a copy of Big Twin! great magazine. Had 3 kroketten, 1 frikandel and 1 friet met! That has to keep me going for a while again :-(
