Mt350

Eh up. Had reason to be looking at one of these lately. Heard really mixed stuff over the years, but general feelings seem good as a run about/ winter hack.

Anyway, any thoughts, experience that may be of use? Cheers

There are a couple of blokes with them on my forum, two with 350's and one with a 500.
One of the 350's is the earliest one known, chassis no 5 and was issued to 22 SAS, he is decideing what to do with it at this very moment.

That sounds pretty good Jason. They can go for £500 - £800 at auction and you need to sort and register them.

Re: Mt350

Jason, you could do worse than contact the French Owl; Patrick had one for a while, must have been a good bike 'cos he even managed to keep a tent strapped to it!

Downside to the earlier ones is they're kickstart only and the kicker pedal's on the "wrong" side, which takes a bit of getting used to. Don't bother asking Patrick how to start one BTW 'cos he just used to con someone else into doing it for him!

He also managed to fall off the bugger at the NE rally, and other people (me) had to kick it up for him - 'cos he 'hurt his leg'

Cheers Kev. Year the Armstrongs look a little techy to start sometimes, the MT350 with the electirc start was pretty good by all accounts.

Paniers, gun holders and front can, loads of storage!

Strange; he's done that at at least two other rallies to my knowledge.

I see a pattern emerging here.......

Incidentally, the first time I ever met Patrick was at Shipley back in 1989, when i ended up giving him a shove with that old red Sporty "cafe racer" monstrosity which he was crash-testing ( a fair definition of Patrick's riding style , if you don't believe me come to the Vintage weekend ) at the time.

Oddly enough it lacked a kick-start and had to be pushed!
