| Camping in France Hi, Later on this year I'm hoping to talk the missus into a camping holiday touring France on our trike and stopping in the "Camping Municipal" sites. I have been looking up on the website for lists of campsites, but they tend to be commercial sites or family camping holidays, which is definately what I do not want. In 2005, myself and another bloke stayed in the "Camping Municipal sites in the rural towns. What I would like to know is, does anyone know of a book etc, that lists all the town campsites, as I would like to plan a little bit better than we did before, we were lucky and as two blokes can rough it a bit more than my wife would put up with, I want to be prepared! Cheers Dave

Dave, Just go into any town and walk into the office of tourism and ask for the list of municipal campsites and they will give you a map of them in the area that you are in then when you move into the next part of france again go into the next tourism office and ask the same. The same goes if you have a camper van go to the same tourism office for the same map but ask where the closest AIRES are and you can then go there and connect to electric, water and empty any tanks that you may have some are free and some charge but very small fees, and are in most towns and villages, I use them all the time and the municipal sites are usually V Good and cheap and close to town
