I did read somewhere that you can gradually grow out of hayfever as you get older, and I certainly don't suffer as much now as I used to some years ago.
Funny that, because I only started to suffer with it when I turned 50.But, someone told me that certain types of pollen are stronger now.Who knows?

Re: HAYFEVER - It's that time of year!!

I grew up on a farm and never got it (although my brother did), I left to ply my trade and got it soon after; it is getting progressively better, but is still a pain. I heard on the Steve Wright show yesterday that some pollens attach themselves to diesel particles and are more virullent as a result.
Oddly enough, my bro now runs the farm and doesn't get it anymore - 'Go figure' .

Re: HAYFEVER - It's that time of year!!

I'm 41 in June and didn't get my 1st bout of hayfever till I waz 26.

Usually only get it for a day or so, however this year has been bad. Apparently its the beech pollen that has made it so ...

I do take Benadryl which seems to ease the symptons and only requires one mutha of a nose blow in the morning and then thats it.

Remember the ride to Denmark SF, there was a time just coming out of Germany where I had no HF at all. I prescribe a long ride on a harley, cures all known ills

Re: HAYFEVER - It's that time of year!!

I have had it bad over the years and have ended up in hospital with asthma through it, but then a Dr asked.

Had I ever tried ACUPUNCTURE so I tried it and lo and behold after a few trips to the Chinese Dr it worked, so every year I now just go for a couple of times and just take a mild tablet and no problems

When I lived in the South of Spain I used to get it real bad and it was the olive trees, now I live in Galicia in the middle of a Eucalyptus forest and hardly get even a sniff

Oh and the vaseline tip is a real good one too.

Stop listening to Steve Wright mate, that'll be a step in the right direction

And try one of the 'alternative' solutions, or acupuncture, you might be surprised
