| Well folks, you guessed it by the thread title, it's that time of year for the biker's curse: Hayfever!! ( "You mean there's another biker's curse?" ).I've just got back from the SuperRally where this f*&%er really got to me and made some of the riding out there less enjoyable than it could have been.Yes, I take pills (Zirtec or Clarityn) and when necessary I use a nasal spray and eye drops. The point being, how many of you also suffer from Hayfever, how does it affect you and do you have any suggestions other than the standard stuff I've mentioned above that I (and other forum users) could perhaps try to get better results against this blight to biking? Clearly a footnote needs to be put in here about medicines and doctors and all that sort of stuff - take advice from a doctor or pharmacist before taking any new drugs!! ![]() |

| Re: HAYFEVER - It's that time of year!! I go to the hospital with mine its that bad i have it all year[mainly caused by me having a total allergy illness], try a pill called fexofenadine only from doc though but very good, the other thing that is pretty good is a NEW ERA pill for hayfever you take 4 pills every 30mins if needed it has no side affects and you can still take your normal stuff to,also if its nose running sneezing etc try bit of vaseline around edge nostrils stops the pollen going up it.good luck with it. |

| Re: HAYFEVER - It's that time of year!! I use a cheapy from Morrisons, (there own brand but ingredients same or slightly up on Piriton etc). As long as you take them regular, they work after 4 days right through till september. Need the 4 days to work properly.

| Re: HAYFEVER - It's that time of year!! I use Beconase nasal spray which works OK for me most of the time. Also wear shades when out and about. Not only do you look cool but it stops squinting which opens up the nasal passages and lets more of that naughty pollen up your nose.I did read somewhere that you can gradually grow out of hayfever as you get older, and I certainly don't suffer as much now as I used to some years ago.
