Black Forest Camping?

Me & the Pelton & Pixie are off one a road trip next week & are looking for any recommendations anyone might have re camping in the Blackforest, Germany?

As a matter of fact, I can....

had a family holiday a couple of years ago at this place:

High quality camping, self catering & mobile home holidays throughout Europe including France, Spain & Italy Steinach Germany, Germany

fabulous small-town location, well away from the tourist madness of Baden Baden etc......middle of nowhere (relatively speaking), and the local town swmming pool is literally RIGHT NEXT to the campsite. Discount swimming.

Campsite is busy in summer, but not many Brits. Lots of Dutch and Germans. Friendly atmosphere, very family oriented so your Harleys will be admired and you might be the only bikers there. Fantastic riding country and the roads are pretty much empty.

Lots of mobile homes/holiday company pitches at the campsite, but there always seemed to be tent space even in high summer when we were there. If you google the campsite by its name, you will get a direct phone line.. At this time of year, you will have no trouble.

Great part of the world. And really surprisingly hot in mid summer...''the Florida of Germany'' they call it.

Mr Baza no I didn't know there was a particular forum for this sort of thing or i would have used it - sorry, must try harder.
Thanks for the tips. We ended up staying in a cracking hotel/come guest house which welcomes bikers & gave us a lovely stop over, was down the bottom of the BF. I'll dig out the address if anyone is headed that way & wants a break off the beaten track.

The reason I sent you emails was because I thought you had dropped off the edge of the planet...

You asked on 17th May and got replies before you were due to go and we had heard nothing until tonight, 7 weeks later. Was the advice any good for your plan before you went? How long did you go for?

If you pm me the details of where you stayed I'll add them to the list for others.

BTW KiwiDave is in Australia.
