Thumbs down Harley Davidson Insurance... Crumbs!

Afternoon all..

..I've just phoned these chaps as they were recommend to me, really nice chap on the other end of the phone - but was at least twice the price of any of my initial insurance trolls on the internet. I'm easily the wrong side of 30, and had a licence for a while now ..just amazed as I'd expect them to support the trade, so to speak, and at least quote in the top 10%!

Anyone else had this? Can anyone recommend any other companies that are worth checking out?

Cheers in advance :-)

Ebike cheapest for past two years. There's a lot of threads about this on the forum and I'm sure someone can point you in the right direction.
Cheers

Re: Harley Davidson Insurance... Crumbs!

HD wanted over £1K to insure my 2 bikes but Ebike £400 for the both on unlimited mileage 2 yrs on the trot i have used them.
HD tried to tell me it was a guaranteed valuation policy to which i said i do not care i have a GAP to invoice policy on both bikes so even if they gave me £2.50 i would get the full invoice price for 3 or 5 years strange silence on the phone after that

Re: Harley Davidson Insurance... Crumbs!

Glad its just not me then!

HD quoted 590 quid for one bike, 'AQuote' (backed off against N/union) quotes 203 quid! That's a MASSIVE gap..

The way I see it, I now have 300 quids to spend in toyes....

I'll give EBike a quick phone call just to see if I can push it any more...

£250 for 5 bikes with carol nash

it would have been a lot cheaper without lumbering a ducati on top of the harleys

Re: Harley Davidson Insurance... Crumbs!

Ok, best I can do it 200 notes, usual extras and 3 years no claims (I have none!) ready for next year. Not too shabby, considering I'm under 50

10 days and counting... tick, tick (anyone have a time machine) tick!
