Just had a few days round Scotland. Did about 1k when we got to
Ullapool looked at the front wheel and the Avon tyre was on its last legs
with rain being forcast thought better get a new tyre,only place with any
chance was Inverness. Got to Mittchels motorcycles at about 4 pm in the afternoon, they had in stock a Harley Davidson Dunlop (suited me because I was going to go back on the Dunlops) was all done and fitted
and we were going done the road for 4.50pm total cost £107.30p
and thats what I call service.

Yes that's excellent service Pete...BUT Rain & Dunflops?

Everybody to his own opinion I have Thousands of miles in the rain on Dunlops and to me they are OK

Interesting. What did you not like about the Avon?

I've got a mate that's got a Screamin' Eagle Electra Glide CVO. It's a huge lump of metal, and he's on his third set of HD Dunlops now. He rides in the rain two up at speed, and leans it over on bends further than you can imagine. He's happy, but it makes me shudder to just think about it. Everyone to his own preference.
