Bring yourself and your ride to my rally

Ok let me try again.

I thought the idea of this "Virtual Rally" was to be a "Virtual Rally"?

You know, not a, real rally but a virtual rally!!

Somewhere to make new friends and post pictures of your pride and joy (or even your bike if you like), tell a joke or two, let people into your virtual tent and tell them stories of great places to go, or what to avoid if you have had a bad experience with a bad site or shop.

Right, so here goes,

Hi everybody, I'm Blenk, 53 ish and living on a great little island just off the coast of France called Jersey.
The island is only 9 miles by 5 miles so you soon see everything on a ride out.

Quite a few HOGGIES over here but only a couple of club members now (I am trying to spread the word).

The best bit about living here is its a very safe place to be, you can walk out in the evenings and never be intimidated by groups of angry yobs, the wife can walk home on here own without any fear, there are a few drunks around at night but one of them might be me once in a while, LOL.

We can get over to France with the bike and back for around £50 when the ferry companies have deals on (quite often), so, when a long ride calls off we (or just me and a mate) go.

I have just bought the bike of my dreams, it is the only bike I have ever wanted, ever since I first saw one and heard its name.

So now I own my very own FATBOY and I want for nothing else, it rides like a dream and blinds people when the sun shines on it.

Enough I here you cry, so I'll stop there as I am known to talk a lot, and now I wait to meet my first guest through the open flap in my "virtual tent"

Here is a picture of my bike to get the gallery going

Re: Bring yourself and your ride to my rally

Blenk, some people would be suspicious of a man who asks them to come through his flap. But what the heck - here’s my baby.

We’ve been together for five years now - it's our anniversary next month. When I first saw her, I knew I had to have her. I haven’t been disappointed - I try to ride her as often as possible. I also enjoy shampooing her, ending with a hand finish of course.

We’ve been through a lot together, including some European jaunts, and I can honestly say that she gives me as much pleasure now as she always has. I once rode her for 19 hours non-stop!

Re: Bring yourself and your ride to my rally

Now were talking.
My flaps are renowned for always being open, you can ask any of my 4 wives.

Any how, it is a pleasure to have you all in my "virtual" tent, loads more room so lets be avin ya, always room for one on top.

Next up I will be putting a face to my name, when I can get someone to photo me and not the bike then you will know who you are talking to.

I met up with one of our members in the flesh (so to speak) today,
Took him and his wife around the whole island, stopping off several times for photo calls, coffee and a cream scone at a lovely little bay, then off down the pub just after lunch.

This is a photo of me a couple of weeks ago at Le Mann, I will try and get a better one

Re: Bring yourself and your ride to my rally

going off out this morning with Oilslick Pete for a breakfast run with a couple of mates.
The boss at jersey harley is letting him take any of our Harley demos on the run so he can get a feel for the island from the front of a Harley (after this week I think he wants to move over here, Great food, great weather, Great people, cheaper Harley bits and a little slower way of life)
Hope to see others come and try it soon.

I think this is what he's trying out today for a bit of fun.

Sounds good Tony. Have the States of Jersey relaxed the rules on allowing migration to Jersey. I had understood that you had to have either a very large income, or have been resident on the Island for an amount of years before they would allow anyone to buy property. Mrs FBB & I love it & have been many times, if we were able, we would eventually retire to there. By the way, here's my ride for your Rally!

Cheers for now

Hiya FBB, Nice ride. Anyone can come and live here, and there are lots of jobs going, all well paid as well, however you are correct with the accommodation, we can't buy anything over here until we have lived here for more than 10 years, and renting is quite expensive as well. We use to rent a one and a half bedroom apartment for £20,000 a year (ouch! I here you cry, it did have a Jacuzzi and sauna on the lawn) you can get cheaper but the quality goes down quite a lot, our latest place is nice, see view with breakfast and only £1200 a month (we do get a large garage for the Fatboy and the car, and are only a short walk to the beach and town centre)
Any hoo me and Oilslick (Pete) had a nice ride out today in glorious sunshine he was blown away with some of the views. The boss from the Jersey Harley shop bought us breakfast and a couple of mates turned up as well.
Here is a pic of Pete with the free ride he was given from bikers (didn't even have to put petrol into it) I'm sure that they would do the same for any friends that come over to visit.
I wonder who will come through my flaps next.
C'mon Baza you are welcome here as well, either bring yer virtual self in me tent or come over for a pint and a ride out.
